Wireless Smoke & Heat Detector Our wireless smoke and heat detector has a 3V lithium powered, photoelectronic smoke/heat detector with a built-in wireless transmitter. It is intended for use with any 5800 Series Wireless Receiver/Transceiver for residential installations. The transmitter can send alarm, tamper, maintenance (when control panels are equipped to process maintenance signals), and battery condition messages to the systems receiver. Smoothing algorithms minimize nuisance alarms by smoothing out short term spikes from dust and smoke virtually eliminating nuisance alarms. Since there are no holes to drill or wires to run, you can preserve the beauty of the building while protecting it. The wireless smoke and heat detector is ideal for those difficult to wire locations, applications where room aesthetics are critical, or where hazardous materials exist. All models also feature a restorable, built-in, fixed temperature (135F) thermal detector that is also capable of sensing a pre-freeze condition if the temperature is below 41F.
Wireless Glassbreak Detector Attached picture 5853 Wireless Glassbreak Detector offers uncompromised performance and unmatched false alarm immunity. The FlexCoreTM signal processor utilizes an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) - processing sound data in parallel rather than sequentially. This permits sound frequency, duration and amplitude to be analyzed 50% faster to minimize false alarms while maintaining the highest possible level of detection.
Wireless Carbon Monoxide Detector The 5800CO is a 3V battery powered wireless carbon monoxide (CO) detector intended for use with the iView alarm systems. It provides early warning when its electrochemical sensing technology measures carbon monoxide levels in the air.
What is Carbon Monoxide and How Can it Harm Consumers? Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odorless, colorless, tasteless and highly toxic gas that is produced when fuels such as wood, gasoline, charcoal and oil are burned with insufficient air. The majority of residential and commercial fatalities caused from these fuels come from heating systems, engine powered tools and charcoal grills. Carbon monoxide is harmful when inhaled because it displaces oxygen in the blood and deprives the heart, brain and other vital organs of oxygen. Large amounts of CO can overcome a person in minutes without warning—causing them to lose consciousness and suffocate. The 5800CO is designed to warn the end-user well before the CO reaches a fatal level. The detector’s CO sensitivity is evaluated to UL 2034.
